# Codex

> The in-plugin reference panel

# Codex

**CODEX** at the right of the header opens a panel describing the controls on the current tab. The panel covers the tab area and leaves the tab bar live, so clicking another tab turns the Codex to that tab's page. Click **CODEX** again or press Escape to close it.

The panel's heading reads **CODEX** with the tab's name. Below it, one entry per card gives the card's title, a one-line summary and a fuller description, then each control on the card by its on-screen label with its range and default and a line on what it does. The DENSIFICATION page opens with an extra entry, **MINIMAL MODE & MACROS**, on the two views and the macro knobs.

The same descriptions appear as tooltips when the pointer rests on a knob.
