# Presets and Morph

ANTIVERB ships with no factory presets. The presets you save are `.antiverb` files in `~/Library/NOMN/ANTIVERB/Presets/` on macOS and `%APPDATA%\NOMN\ANTIVERB\Presets\` on Windows, one subfolder per category.

## The Preset Menu

The menu in the header shows the current preset (**Default** before one is chosen). Clicking it lists your presets grouped by category, sorted by name, with **Save Preset...** at the bottom.

### Saving

**Save Preset...** opens a dialog with **Name** (default *Untitled*) and **Category** (default *Uncategorized*) and the buttons **Save** and **Cancel**. Saving never overwrites: a name already in use gets `_2`, `_3` and so on appended. Characters that file names cannot hold become underscores.

A preset stores every sound parameter and the MINIMAL / EXPERT view. It never stores the speaker rig, the output roles and trims, the bass crossover, the sub level or the listener position, so loading a preset leaves your room as it is.

### Right-Click Menu

Right-clicking the preset menu offers:

* **Save...**
* **Rename...** (when a preset is selected)
* **Reveal in Finder** (when a preset is selected)
* **Delete...** (when a preset is selected; asks to confirm, then deletes the file)
* a greyed line reporting how many presets the A/B morph can reach, for example **Preset A/B reach the first 128 presets (12 of 128 used)** (see A/B Morph below)
* the **Community Preset Sharing / Device Sync** commands

**Rename...** asks for a new name and keeps the preset in its category. It refuses an empty name and a name already used in that category. To move a preset to another category, move its file in Finder (a subfolder becomes a category). Files at the top of the folder are listed under **Uncategorized**.

## Community Preset Sharing and Device Sync

The row under the footer reads **COMMUNITY PRESET SHARING / DEVICE SYNC**. Click it (or use the commands at the bottom of the right-click menu) to sign in with a NOMN account, sync your presets between machines, share a preset with the community and browse presets others have shared.

* **Sync** runs when the window opens and after every save or delete while you are signed in. It can add, rename or remove files in your preset folder to match your other machines.
* **Share** publishes the current settings under the current preset's name and category. A shared preset never carries a speaker layout.
* **Browse** downloads community presets into the category **Community/** followed by the author's name.

Signed out, the row reads *Not signed in. Click to sign in to NOMN and sync or share presets.*; signed in, it shows the account and the last sync status.

## A/B Morph

Three host parameters crossfade between two presets. They have no control in the window; reach them from the host's automation lanes or generic parameter view.

| Parameter | Range | Default | What it does |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Preset A** | 0 to 127 | 0 | Selects preset A by its position in the preset list. |
| **Preset B** | 0 to 127 | 0 | Selects preset B the same way. |
| **Preset Morph** | 0 to 100 % | 0 % | Moves from A (0 %) to B (100 %). |

Slot 0 is the first preset in the menu's order (by category, then name), slot 1 the second, and so on through the first 128 presets. Presets past the 128th cannot be reached; the greyed line in the right-click menu shows how many slots are in use. An empty slot does nothing.

At 0 % and 100 % the morph loads A or B in full. In between, every continuous parameter moves in a straight line from A's value to B's, and switches and choices (shape, depth, curve and the like) change from A to B at 50 %. Morphing never moves the speakers or changes the output roles, trims, bass crossover, sub level or listener.
