# Interface Overview

## Window

From top to bottom the window holds the header, a visualisation band shared by every tab, the tab area with the master strip on its right, the footer, and a row for preset sharing. The window can be resized at a fixed aspect ratio from 0.75 to 1.6 times its base size.

The header carries the **ANTIVERB** title, the preset menu, the **DRY / WET** slider, the **MINIMAL** / **EXPERT** button and **CODEX**.

## Tabs

The six tabs are **SOURCE**, **DENSIFICATION**, **REFLECTIONS**, **SPACE**, **TONE** and **SPATIAL**. The first five hold the six processing stages (REFLECTIONS holds both early reflections and diffusion) in the order the signal meets them. SPATIAL holds the speaker rig and the placement of each part of the sound. See [Signal Chain](/antiverb/interface/signal-chain).

## Stage Headers

Each processing stage has a header that reads the stage name followed by **MIX** (for example **DENSIFICATION MIX**), with these controls and per-channel peak meters:

| Control | What it does |
| - | - |
| **MIX** | How much of the stage is heard, 0 to 100 %, default 0. |
| **BYPASS** | Turns the stage off. A checked box means the stage is off. |
| **SOLO** | Plays only this stage. Turning one SOLO on turns the others off. |

The REFLECTIONS tab stacks two headers, **REFLECTIONS MIX** and **DIFFUSION MIX**, each with its own MIX and BYPASS. Their SOLO buttons are one control, soloing early reflections and diffusion together.

MIX and BYPASS changes are smoothed over 30 ms, so moving them while audio plays does not click.

The SPATIAL tab has a **SPATIAL ROUTING** header with a single **BYPASS**. See [Spatial Objects](/antiverb/interface/spatial).

## Master Strip

The rail on the right of the tab area holds **IN** and **OUT** (input and output trim, -24 to +6 dB, default 0 dB) and the input and output meters. The meters run from -60 to +6 dB with a peak hold and turn warm above 0 dB. On a multichannel bus the output meters are grouped under **BED**, **SUR** and **TOP**; hovering a meter names its output.

**DRY / WET** in the header (0 to 100 %, default 100 %) blends the processed result with the dry input. An always-on soft saturator leaves the signal untouched up to 0 dBFS and rounds anything above it toward a ceiling of +2.92 dBFS. On a multichannel output with a **Small** and a **Sub** output, the Sub outputs have a ceiling of their own at -0.92 dBFS (see [Speaker Layout](/antiverb/interface/speaker-layout#output-roles-and-bass-management)).

Double-clicking a knob, a MIX slider, **DRY / WET**, **IN** or **OUT** returns it to its default. Double-clicking a knob's value readout opens it for typing a value.

## MINIMAL and EXPERT

The button in the header shows the current view and switches every tab between a few macro knobs (**MINIMAL**) and the full control set (**EXPERT**). A new instance opens in MINIMAL. The view is saved with the session and with presets. See [Macros](/antiverb/features/macros).

## Cards

Controls are grouped into cards. In EXPERT view a card can carry expandable sections drawn as **\[+] NAME** when closed and **\[-] NAME** when open (for example **\[+] ONSET & SHAPE** on DENSIFICATION). Expandable sections start closed and are hidden in MINIMAL.

## Visualisation

The band above the tabs draws every stage at once. The active tab's layer is drawn solid, the others faint, and bypassed stages fainter still, over a faint spectrum of the output.

* **DENSIFICATION**: each tap as a vertical stick on a logarithmic time axis, with jitter shown as a blur around each tap, and faint overlays for the envelope, the densifier's tone curve, the stereo spacing and the smoother's trend and threshold. Warm bands on the spectrum mark where the smoother is cutting.
* **REFLECTIONS**: the three reflection groups as sticks over 0 to 400 ms.
* **SPACE**: the delay lines as a ring of nodes, with chords that bend with the modulation depth and moving beads for energy passing between lines.
* **SOURCE**: a distance marker and the tone curve.
* **TONE**: the tilt line.

## Footer

The left of the footer shows the licence state (**Licensed**, **Trial** with the time remaining, **Validating…**, **Revoked** or **Unlicensed**). Clicking it opens the licence dialog. See [Licensing](/antiverb/reference/licensing).

The **CPU** meter shows the instance's load as a bar and a percentage. It turns gold from 80 % and red, with the words **over budget**, from 95 %.

When a newer version is available, an **Update?** badge shows the current and latest versions; clicking it opens the download page.

Below the footer, the **COMMUNITY PRESET SHARING / DEVICE SYNC** row shows your sign-in state. See [Presets](/antiverb/features/presets).
