How Licensing Works

RESERVOIR uses server-managed licensing through nomn.jp. To produce MIDI you need a valid trial or full license key entered in the plugin. If you launch RESERVOIR without entering a key, you’ll see “Unlicensed” in the credits bar and MIDI output will be disabled. Click that text to open the license dialog.

Free Trial

  1. Visit nomn.jp and register a free account
  2. Go to the RESERVOIR product page and click Free Trial
  3. A 5-day trial license key will be issued to your account immediately
  4. Copy the key from your account dashboard
  5. In RESERVOIR, click Unlicensed in the credits bar and paste the key
The trial gives you full functionality for 5 calendar days. No payment information is required.

Purchasing

  1. Visit nomn.jp
  2. Create an account (or log in)
  3. Navigate to RESERVOIR and click Buy
  4. Complete checkout via Stripe
  5. Your full license key appears immediately in your account dashboard
  6. Enter the key in RESERVOIR the same way as a trial key

Activation

  1. In RESERVOIR, click the Unlicensed text (bottom credits bar)
  2. Paste your license key
  3. RESERVOIR contacts the nomn.jp server to validate
  4. On success, the credits bar updates to Licensed or Trial with days remaining

Offline Use

After initial activation, full licenses work fully offline — your license is cached locally and does not require an internet connection for subsequent launches. Trial licenses revalidate against the server periodically. If you’re offline when your trial period ends, the plugin will continue to work until it can reach the server again.

Multiple Machines

Each license supports up to 3 activations across different machines.

  • OS: macOS (Apple Silicon + Intel)
  • Formats: VST3, Audio Unit (AU), Standalone
  • DAW: Any VST3 or AU-compatible host
