Macros
The MINIMAL / EXPERT button in the header switches every tab between a few knobs per card (MINIMAL) and the full control set (EXPERT). A new instance opens in MINIMAL. In MINIMAL some cards show a macro beside their remaining knobs; a macro’s label is in title case, after the knobs it sits with. What a Macro Does
A macro sweeps several underlying controls together along a tuned path. Macros write the same parameters the EXPERT knobs do, so host automation records the underlying parameters and the macro keeps no state of its own. Macros themselves are not host parameters. The macro knob sits at the point on its path that best matches the current settings. A small warm dot in its top-right corner means the underlying controls are off that path. Fresh defaults start slightly off it, and any EXPERT edit can move them off it. Turning the macro pulls every control onto its path from wherever it is, and the dot clears.Macros by Tab
Two macros are labelled Width. On TEXTURE it moves jitter and spacing; on FIELD it moves the four object widths. The host parameter named Width is spacing.
On the DENSIFICATION tab, the shape knob picks the tap-placement profile and the Onset macro moves the envelope, from a soft, rounded onset to a punchy, sharp one. The Room macro sits on the DIFFUSION card and also moves the REFLECTIONS card’s end times.
On SPATIAL, MINIMAL also hides ROUTING, LISTENER and OUTPUT SPEAKERS, and the OBJECTS table shows azimuth, spread and the power switch.
