Installation
System Requirements
- OS: macOS 13.0 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel); Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
- Formats: VST3 and Audio Unit (AU effect) on macOS; VST3 and a standalone application on Windows
- Channels: stereo or multichannel input (up to 8 channels are placed), 2 to 16 output channels
- Host: any VST3 or AU host
Download
Download the latest ANTIVERB disk image (macOS) or .zip archive (Windows) from nomn.jp.Install
macOS
The disk image is signed and notarized. It holds the two plug-in bundles and an install script,install.sh.
- Open the disk image.
- Run
install.shfrom Terminal (drag it onto a Terminal window and press Return). It copies both bundles into your user plug-in folders, creates the preset folder and clears the Audio Unit cache. - Restart your host.
Both locations are in your user Library, so the plug-in is installed for your macOS account only.
Windows
Extract the .zip archive and copyANTIVERB.vst3 to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\, then restart the host or rescan its plug-ins. ANTIVERB.exe is the standalone application and runs from any folder; choose its audio device from its Options button.
Stereo and Multichannel Tracks
On a stereo output ANTIVERB runs as a stereo processor and the SPATIAL tab has no audible effect. On a multichannel output (quad, 5.1, 7.1, 7.1.4, 9.1.6 and so on) ANTIVERB reads the host’s channel count and renders to that many outputs, up to 16. Set the track or bus to the channel format you want before inserting the plug-in (in Reaper, set the track channel count first). The first time an instance meets a channel count it seeds a speaker layout for it. Choose the layout that matches the room on the SPATIAL tab. See Speaker Layout.Uninstall
Delete the two bundles listed above (on Windows,ANTIVERB.vst3 and ANTIVERB.exe). User presets live in ~/Library/NOMN/ANTIVERB/Presets/ on macOS and %APPDATA%\NOMN\ANTIVERB\Presets\ on Windows; delete that folder to remove them as well.
